Hey there, my name's Elise!
I'm a Chicago native, but living and working in Kansas City since January 2019. I got hooked on horses at the age of five, and haven't looked back once! I've worked in the industry throughout my years at William Woods University, and continue to this day! I'm quarter horse loyal, addicted to the all around, and a sucker for a shiny show outfit. But yes - I have other passions besides horses (and photography, of course)! I love hiking, roller skating (catch me falling on my butt at least twice a day), spending time with my friends & family, and really just trying anything new. I'm a Harry Potter fanatic, I listen to and know way too much about true crime, and I love essentially all comedy TV.
The way I got my first camera stemmed from a rather... unfortunate moment. I used a little Canon point-and-shoot camera for a long time in my early high school years. One summer at a music festival in Chicago, I made a pit-stop at the port-a-potties, and I knocked my camera out of my pocket and INTO THE TOILET. Disgusting. Horrible. Probably TMI. But it led me to save up for my original DLSR - a Canon Rebel TS!
All this is what led me here, and to you! I'm thrilled to be sharing the stories of people like me - those that would give their horse the moon if they could.
Elise has done my photos for everything from horse portraits to an engagement shoot and every random idea in between. Her work is incredible, and she is fun and easy to work with!
